Hans Poma was our taxi driver. Hans is a great young man. He is turning 27 this week and works in the temple. He served his mission in Mexico. He also speaks a little English and likes talking with us so he can practice. Hans delivers the laundry to the missionaries in this zone so he knows how to get to their apartments. It was a good thing since most of the streets were dirt, unmarked and few house numbers.

Bill went across the street to get the Elders something to drink. |
This lady came up to him and asked us to come to her house. They were catholic but wanted Bill to come pray for her father. She must have been impressed with the shirt, tie and name tag. |

Today we went with the Hawses to the Chan Chan ward for their Primary program. The Zamora Family live in this ward and their daughter is the Primary President. They had a fantastic program. They could rival any ward in the states. EVERY child had their parts memorized and even the smallest child knew all the words to all the songs. You could tell they all worked very hard to make this happen with the support of wonderful parents.

You can see the church in this picture. The mailbox is on the left. |

Back home in Utah, our son-in-law Robert celebrated his 40th birthday today. He has been a wonderful husband to our daughter and a great father to our grandchildren. He has also been a big support to us while we have been on our mission, helping to keep things going for us back in Utah. We are glad he is part of our family. Happy Birthday, Robert.
An oldie but goodie, when Heather and Robert got engaged, 17 years ago. |
