Barrio Chimu

The first Sunday we attended church in Trujillo was in June of 2015. We attended the Chimu Ward. We thought it was time to return to that ward again and visit some of the friends we have made at the temple, even though their ward meets at 8:00 AM.  This is a small ward and a small building.  Elder Lavado plays the piano so I was able to sing along in Spanish.
The chapel.
The kitchen / classroom.
Every ward building seems to have a basketball court.
A young mother with her 5 year old triplets, Andy, Grandy & Terry.
They didn't want their picture taken.

Esperanza Flores, in the middle, was one of the first sisters I met at
the temple.  She is a sweet and loving lady.  She recently had an
accident while getting on a bus and has not been able to work for
several weeks.  Her son is the man on the left.  Standing next to him
is Hermano Pereda who is always happy to see us at the temple. He
is one of the workers.  They were all glad we came to their ward.

Three cute young women.
Hermano & Hermana Aguilar.  He is one of our Sealers in the temple and
she is one of the coordinators.

Hermana LaSerna (in the middle) and Hermano LaSerna.  He is
the patriarch in this stake and they both work in the temple.
The lady on the left is a friend from the ward.

Hermano LaSerna with his son and grandson.
Hermana Castillo from the temple with her granddaughter.

Another picture of Sister Aguilar with her children and grandchildren.

Elder Peek from Wrightwood, CA & Elder Lavado from Lima.

This week's scenes of Trujillo.

We love the fruit and veggie stands in the mercado.

A movie poster.

We ran into the Sagastegui family in the Comedor.  They came to the temple
with their son for the first time.  He is leaving on a mission to Brazil.

We pass this purple house all the time so I thought I should take a picture of it.

The guard house and gate where we enter the temple grounds.

And last but not least.......................
