The Start of a New Week

On Sunday we attended the Los Cedros Ward (Barrio) with the Nields.

DeLoyd & Sandy Nield

We took our first bus ride to church which cost one sol.  This is probably the closest building to the temple.  We really enjoyed this ward. Several workers from the temple were there and the Marlers were also visiting this Sunday. I played the piano. It wasn't in tune and the pedals don't work but they said it was better than singing acapella.

This is the home ward of the Rodriguez Family.  Brother and Sister Rodriguez work with us in the temple and their son, Carlos, is the assistant recorder.
Ricardo & Gladys Rodriguez
He was just released as Bishop of this ward.

The Rodriguez daughter-in-law and her children.

Carlos is also in the Stake Presidency.  Here he is with the Stake President, William C Rabanal  We met President Rabanal's family in Lima when we were flying to Trujillo.  They are from Trujillo and came to be with their family for the Temple open house.  I wish we had a picture of them.  We ran into them several times while they were in Trujillo when they were here.

We are really enjoying getting to know so many wonderful people in Trujillo.
Diana Guzman baked us this loaf of banana bread and left it at the temple for us.
It was a real treat after a long day at the temple on Friday.

A random picture of the birds that come to sit on the Angel Moroni statue every day.
