Royals Win the 2015 World Series!

We stayed up until 12:45 am watching the Royals beat the Mets in the 5th game of the World Series.  Two of their four wins were in extra innings. The first game was 14 innings and the 5th game was 12 innings.  The last three games were played in New York with the Royals winning the last two.  The announcers expected the Mets to win the last two nights as the Royals came up from behind to win in late innings. The only thing that would have been more exciting would have been for them to have won on their home field with thousands of fans cheering them on in person.

Thank goodness for modern technology so we can feel a part of all this. Wish we could have been in Kansas City with our friends, cheering them on.  I am sure KC is going wild.  We lived in Missouri for 35 years and were there 30 years ago when they won the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals with George Brett.  My parents were big Royals fans as well and I'm sure they would be excited about this. They never missed a game.
