I stole their mission picture from their blog. Such a good looking couple! Elder Haws served here in Trujillo in the 70's. |
Saturday marked our 2 month anniversary for starting our mission. We decided to celebrate by going back to the Casa Andina Hotel where we stayed when we first arrived in Trujillo. They have a wonderful restaurant and serve some very authentic Peruvian food.
We had one of our favorites, Lomo Saltado with Inca Kola. Yum! |
Wayne & Jan Haws |
The Mendoza Family. Sister Mendoza works in the temple with me and is one of my favorites. She speaks a little English and is very sweet and helpful. |
The Hartmans and the Hawes with Secundo, Jenny and Blanca Luperdi. We see them in the temple often. |
After we did the 7:30 Missionary session on Monday, we had a short break to walk to the Lamanitas Book Store. There are no books, so I guess it is really a Mormon Memorabilia store, just a couple of blocks from the temple. We ran into several missionaries from our session.
Elder Bond & Elder Haacke Cute Elders! |
Life is good in Peru & for Max in Providence, Utah! |
