Two to three blocks from the temple is a crematoria. We never know they are there until they start working in the middle of the night. The stench can literally wake you up from a sound sleep. They don't seem to have a way to filter the smell and keep it contained within their own walls.
This picture shows all the missions in Peru. When Bill was here 50 years ago it was called the Andes Mission and included all of Peru, the northern part of Chile, all of Bolivia, all of Ecuador and all of Columbia. Today there are 13 missions just in Peru.
I think I mentioned before that one of our favorite things is the tunnel from our apartment to the temple. We are able to dress in our temple clothes and go back and forth for sessions, shifts, lunch etc.
